Walking in a Winter wonderland || 22nd of Christmas

♫ We’re happy tonight. Walking in a winter wonderland. ♫

Hello Everybody,

Today I went to Winter Wonderland in London and to be honest it is over commercialized. It wasn’t really a “Winter Wonderland”, there wasn’t much really that yelled “Winter”however the day out was still great!

DSC_0682.JPGSo what you had to do was, if you wanted to go on any rides you pay for them a certain amount of tokens which ranged between 4-6 tokens (for one token it was £1). In my opinion it should be like a normal Fairground such as Thorpe Park, where you pay to get in and then rides are free but you pay more for the ice skating or The magical Ice kingdom.

DSC_0788.JPG Anyway so we decided to head for The Magical Ice kingdom which my Mum’s friend had booked us in for. Compared to the online photo it was pretty small. However the inside was full of amazing Fairytale ice sculptures – it was also freezing – The sculptures and setting reminded me of Narnia!

Other sections of Winter Wonderland were pretty for example the lights when you walk in were quite magical but otherwise for me it lacked the whole point of it. It was fun though, I went in a fun house with my cousin and siblings (as the adult) To be honest it made me feel nostalgic because when I was younger and I had to chose 1 ride to go on it would always be this one since you could spend as much time as you wanted on it! I was a smart child…

So I hope you enjoyed my review of Winter Wonderland. Overall I’d give it a 6/10 because it can be enjoyable if you’ve got the money to spend on rides otherwise it’s hard to spend a nice day there. Anyway Thanks for reading ❤

Last Christmas || 3rd Day of Christmas

Good evening,

I hope that you’re enjoying the start of blogmas! I am very happy with the past two blog posts as well as my blog update for the season. Any comments? As I love Christmas music and well as it’s December now I am “officially allowed” to listen to Christmas songs whenever I want, so I thought I’d write about my top 5 favorite songs!

Last Christmas – WHAM!last christmas.jpg

I’ve grown up listening to this song practically every year and yes even now I am still loving it. It’s like I am back to a  child and I connect the song to happy memories with friends and family!

Wonderful Christmastime – Paul McCartney

Again another song I relate to happy memories, I feel like this song you can just jump around with your friends. Definitely to be played at a Christmas party! It’s got a really jolly beat to it and so I just love it.

The Power of Love –  Gabrielle Aplin

This one is quite modern (2012) and I remember it being in a John Lewis Christmas advert of course which I love! One think I truly love about this song is that it reinforces the real meaning of Christmas – Love (as well as Jesus)

Winter Wonderland – Michael Buble (cover)

mb

Even though the original is amazing, I have to say that I do just love a little bit of Michael Buble! I love his covers because there’s always his own style to it, which I think is what makes a cover good.

Have yourself a Merry little Christmas – Sam Smith (Cover)

Again, I do of course love the original but I do also love Sam Smith. Sam Smith really does pull off this cover extremely well, as soon as it comes on you can recognize its him which means he has put his own style into it, like I said before that’s what makes a cover good!

That’s some of my favorite Christmas songs this year! I hope you enjoyed this post. As I said at the start, any comments on the Christmassy theme – much appreciated! ❤ Thanks for reading! Merry Christmas,

Christmas Movies // 2nd Day of Christmas

Good evening,

Definitely starting to feel the Christmassy vibes, every ones starting to feel a little more happier… mostly because its closer to the Holidays -the Christmas holidays! I felt like writing about my favorite Christmas films today, so grab a blanket, make a hot chocolate and get ready to start watching some films!

Home Alone

HA

Kevin McCallister is the protagonist of the film, from the title you can probably guess that he gets left Home Alone when his family forget that he is still in his room when they leave to go on Holiday. The McCallister household becomes a target for a burglary by two burglars, Harry and Marv “The Wet Bandits”. However Kevin sets up a bunch of booby traps to protect his and his family’s home. I have watched this film tons and love it! Definitely an amazing Christmas film for the whole family!!!

Elf

In the film Elf, Buddy at Christmas as a baby in the orphanage crawls in Santa Claus’ sack and gets taken back to the North Pole, he gets raised by Elfs. However he soon wants to find out who his real parents are and heads to New York where things aren’t exactly the same as back home. This film is a great funny, family friendly film.

Nativity 2 Danger in the Manger!

Definitely one for the kids!  Donald Peterson (a new teacher at St. Bernadette’s Primary School) gets forced by his new class to accompany them on a road trip to a holiday music competition. Along the way they get lost and end up walking to arrive at their destination. The journey is full of funny moments particularly for the kids!

Well, that is it for this post. 3 films great for all the family to snuggle up and watch together during the Christmas Season! I hope you enjoyed reading my review of Christmassy films. Comment below any of your favorite films! Thank you for Reading ❤
